In Search Of An East Asian Development Model
In Search Of An East Asian Development Model
Edited by Peter L. Berger and Michael Hsiao
Transaction Books, 1988, 357 pp.

This is a much better than average collection of essays on a subject that has been well worked over in recent years: whether East Asia's economic success stories can serve as a development model for other parts of the world. There is a particularly strong introductory essay by Peter Berger and an excellent essay by Gustav Papanek on the economic strategies that have proved so successful for the region.
