Allies In Apartheid: Western Capitalism In Occupied Namibia

Edited by Allan D. Cooper

St. Martin's, 1988, 203 pp.

Following the book's argument about the compelling stake of Western economic interests in the Namibian status quo, activists, journalists and scholars from a number of industrialized countries indict their nations' economic participation in Namibia. Now, however, as we contemplate the possibility of a settlement in that contested territory it is at least as interesting to speculate-which the book does not-on the future role of non-South African investors in a majority-ruled Namibia.
