Creditworthiness And Reform In Poland: Western And Polish Perspectives
Creditworthiness And Reform In Poland: Western And Polish Perspectives
Edited by Paul Marer and Wlodzimierz Siwinski
Indiana University Press, 1988, 348 pp.

The strengths of this valuable book are the diversity of the authors (from Western countries and Poland), the many different aspects of the Polish situation they deal with and the extent to which the current troubles are traced back to the 1970s. Most of the 30-odd papers are short; as they were written at different times since 1985, it is not always clear what the present tense refers to, and the reader must fend for himself in pulling together this rich material.
