The Dynamics Of Trade And Employment
The Dynamics Of Trade And Employment
Edited by Laura D'Andrea Tyson, William T. Dickens and John
Ballinger, 1988, 282 pp

Case studies of automobiles, apparel, semiconductors and telecommunications equipment are the main feature of this book. The editors build on the results to stress the importance of shaping policies that take account of the fact that industries respond differently to changes in foreign trade and that different groups of workers are affected. The findings are not particularly surprising but this is a valuable, responsible work.
