What impact did the anti-war movement in the United States have on American policy in the Vietnam War? This careful study, based on archival material supplemented with interviews, concludes that anti-war activity, even when carried out by small numbers, did affect Johnson and Nixon to a considerable extent. The author believes that his conclusion "might help to sustain others who question present and future foreign policies."
