Based on a Chatham House study group, this volume surveys the ups and downs of Great Britain's economic, political and cultural relations with Latin America. Most of Britain's specific interests in Latin America have been commercial, and these are much less important than they used to be. But Latin America is gaining some political salience in London, largely as a result of European Community considerations.
