Western Perceptions Of Soviet Goals: Is Trust Possible
Western Perceptions Of Soviet Goals: Is Trust Possible
Edited by Klaus Gottstein
Campus Verlag/Boulder (CO): Westview Press, 1990, 455 pp.

The second volume in a series stemming from a major project on Soviet and Western perceptions of the goals, trends and policies of the other. Contributors to this volume are mainly German, with a sprinkling of scholars from elsewhere (only one from the Soviet Union). Although some of the papers, which date from a conference in 1987, seem rather stale, much of the material, especially on enduring cultural factors, is relevant.
