Korean Unification: Implications for Northeast Asia

Edited by Amos A. Jordan
Center for Strategic and International Studies, 1993
120 pp. $14.95

This volume is the result of two conferences sponsored by the Pacific Forum/CSIS in 1992 at which academics from the United States, China, Japan, Russia, South Korea and North Korea presented papers on the prospects for Korean reunification and touched on the North Korean nuclear issue. As is often the case with conference proceedings, the papers are uneven, and most do not warrant publication. Moreover, the pace of events regarding the North Korean nuclear question has overtaken much of the analysis here.
